Description
This is a farm building located approximately 80 meters east of Priory Farmhouse, dating from the mid-16th century. It features a timber frame that is clad in tarred weatherboarding, with parts underbuilt in 20th-century blockwork and rendered. The roof is thatched, half hipped at the north end and gabled to the south. The structure consists of three bays, truncated to the south. It has arch-braced tie beams resting on jowled principal posts, which support two tiers of queen posts. There are down-braces from the lower queen posts to the outer ends of the ties, and square set purlins with arch braces from the queen posts. The upper purlin and posts may have been replaced. The wall studs are diagonally braced, and there is a double door opening at the north end.
