Description

Two shops with flats above, located at 10 and 12 Middleton Street, Wymondham. Number 10 dates to the early 19th century, while number 12 is of late 18th century origin. Number 10 has a whitewashed brick facade and a pantile roof, while number 12 has a roof of black glazed pantiles. Number 10 features a 20th-century shop front and a single horned sash window to the first floor. It also has a dentilled eaves cornice and a hipped roof. A contemporary two-story brick extension to the rear incorporates 20th-century doors and casement windows. Number 12 includes a 20th-century door set within a reeded timber case on the right-hand side, and two sash windows with glazing bars, one to the ground floor and one above. The building has a gabled roof and a stack on the rear roof slope. A two-story brick extension dating from the early 19th century is located at the rear of number 12.
