Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century and later. It is constructed of brick, with some flint, and has pantiled roofs. The building consists of a single range that reflects four different phases of construction in an unclear sequence. The eastern section is single-storeyed with an attic, while the two central sections are now two storeys with an attic; these were heightened, re-roofed, and joined in the 19th century. The western section is two storeys with an attic and features a stair outshut at the rear.

The south facade has 19th-century windows, including two canted bay windows, three tripartite sash windows, and three ordinary sash windows. The front door is sheltered by a gabled porch with a decorative barge board. The west gable end retains the remains of two large original openings with stuccoed dressings and rectangular moulded brick hood-moulds. The east gable end features simple brick rectangular hood-moulds. At the rear, there is a gabled stair outshut with 19th-century sash windows and pigeon nesting boxes. The building also displays sawtooth and dentiled cornices, as well as moulded brick gable corbels. There are two single dormers on the central sections and three axial stacks, with the westernmost stack having four octagonal shaft bases and later square shafts.
