Description

The Manor House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century and later. It is constructed of flint and brick and features a gabled slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with an off-centre gabled entrance porch. On the ground floor, there are casement windows of various sizes on both the right and left sides, with those on the right including a transom. The first floor has alternating double and single casements, all with glazing bars that likely date from the late 18th century. A central hipped dormer is present, along with multiple gable stacks at the internal gable ends. The east gable wall has been rebuilt, while the west gable wall features a plinth and regular courses of brick and flint, with the bricks set apart. The ground floor has two casements with renewed hoods, and there are two blocked windows on the first floor. A brick string course runs along the eaves line. The attic has two tall, narrow windows with brick dressings and a parapet gable supported by brick kneelers. The rear of the house has been altered, with blocked segmental windows on the left side, a pair of sloped buttresses, and early 19th-century bordered sash windows on the first floor. There are also two hipped dormers. A high brick and flint wall connects to a barn.
