Description
Nos 80 and 82 on St George's Street is a former house that was converted into a workshop and residence in the 20th century. At the time of the re-survey, it was empty. The building dates back to the early 16th century and was extended northwards in the late 16th century. It has undergone alterations in the 19th century and renovations in the 20th century, including work on the gable walls. The ground floor is constructed of flint rubble, while the first floor is timber-framed, and the roof is covered with pantiles. The building has two storeys and features a jettied first floor. There are four windows on the first floor and two off-centre doors in a simple frame. The ground floor includes three sash windows with glazing bars and shutters, and the first floor has four 20th-century casement windows.
