Description
No. 72 The Close is a late 19th-century office building constructed from red brick, featuring yellow brick window dressings and a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with the central bay projecting. It showcases 'Tudor' architectural details on the door and windows. There is a left-hand entrance door and a passage door on the extreme left. The ground floor includes a large four-light window with a flat drip mould, while the first floor has two two-light windows with four-centre arches. To the left, there is a sash window with sidelights. A brick string course runs between the ground and first floors, and the building is topped with a crenellated parapet. The right-hand bay features three-light windows on both floors and a crow-step gable, along with ornate stacks.
