Description

23 Tombland is a former house that has been converted into an office. It dates from the 19th century and is constructed of brick with stucco detailing. The building has three storeys and features a hung-tile attic storey. It has four bays, with a right-hand off-centre door that includes a semi-circular fanlight and a pilastered surround, accessed by three steps. There is a yard entry at the extreme left. The building has sash windows throughout; the ground floor windows have side-lights and a plain pilaster surround with a small hood, while the first floor windows feature an eared and moulded surround. The right side of the building has rusticated quoins. A cornice is supported on vertical consoles, and there are four casement windows in the attic storey.
