Description
Erpingham House is a former house that has been converted into a shop and café. It dates from the 19th century and is built of white brick with stucco detailing. The building has three storeys and three bays, featuring a central door with a rectangular fanlight, double-order pilasters, and an architrave with a flat hood, accessed by five steps. The windows are sash style throughout, with the ground and first-floor windows having side-lights and nail-head pilasters with consoles that support the hood. The second-floor windows have plain raised surrounds. The building has a rusticated plinth and quoins, a coil-decorated stringcourse at the first-floor level, and an ornate cornice with an embellished guilloche band, end lion-masks, and modillions. The roof is hipped.
