Description
Number 12 Tombland is a house, now used as a shop, dating from the 17th century and later. The ground floor is finished in painted brick, while the upper part is rendered. It has a pantile roof and a red brick chimney on the left side. The building stands two storeys high with two levels of attics and features a two-window range. To the left of the centre, there is a half-glazed door set within a late 19th-century shop front. The first-floor windows are sashes with glazing bars and horns, framed by moulded wooden architraves. A high gabled dormer features a 20th-century casement window below a small wooden casement with an iron frame. There is a similar two-level dormer at the rear. The interior was not inspected during the resurvey.
