Description
Nos. 7 and 8 on Town Close Road are a pair of houses built in the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed of yellow brick and feature a hipped slate roof with two brick chimneys. The buildings stand three storeys tall and have four first-floor windows, with the bays defined by pilasters, and the two central bays project slightly and contain tripartite sash windows. There are three steps leading up to six-panelled doors located in recessed end wings, which also have pilasters. The windows are fitted with large-paned sashes and are topped with flat gauged brick arches. A plain cornice runs along the top, and the parapet above the two central bays features a blind balustrade adorned with laurel wreaths above the pilasters.
