Description

A pair of houses dating from the early to mid-19th century, with later additions. The houses are constructed of yellow brick and have a slate roof, with four brick chimneys. The pair has two storeys and seven windows on the first floor. No. 6 is distinguished by brick pilasters defining the centre and end bays. No. 5 features a projecting glazed porch with Doric columns, the capitals decorated with egg and dart detailing and a dentilled hood. The fanlight in the round-headed recess of No. 6 is plain. Later bay windows were added to the ground floor on the right and left sides, likely after 1885. The other windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set under flat, gauged brick arches. A box cornice runs along the top of the building.
