Description

This is a pair of early 19th-century houses, with No. 5 being a later addition from the mid-19th century, situated on Beccles Road in Loddon. The houses are built of red brick with a hipped roof covered in black glazed pantiles, featuring brick dentil eaves. They have two storeys and five windows in total, all with sash windows containing glazing bars. The ground floor windows are topped with rubbed flat brick arches. The doorway of No. 3 has a left-hand doorcase with a moulded architrave, cornice, and panelled reveals, sheltering a panelled door. A panelled and glazed door with a rectangular fanlight is on the right. No. 5 has a doorway set within a round-headed recess, which is topped by a semi-circular fanlight with radial glazing bars. This doorway leads to fielded panel doors. To the left of No. 3, set back from the main range, is a single bay.
