Description

A pair of houses located on the south-west side of Town Close Road, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of yellow brick with a slate roof and have three brick ridge chimneys. They are two storeys high, with six windows on the first floor, and each house presents a symmetrical facade. Rusticated brick quoins define the corners. Three steps lead up to panelled doors, partially glazed with simple overlights, recessed and framed with pilasters and plain entablatures. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within flat, gauged brick arches. A two-storey canted bay window is situated on the left-hand side, incorporating a string course, large casement windows, and a hipped slate roof.
