Description

A pair of houses dating from the mid-19th century, located on the north-west side of Unthank Road. The houses are built of yellow brick with a hipped slate roof, a central brick ridge chimney, and two brick end stacks. They are two storeys high and have a symmetrical facade with eight first-floor windows. Pilasters accentuate the ends of the building. Projecting brick porches are situated off-centre in each unit, featuring panelled doors, plain overlights, pilasters with stone caps, a rendered cornice, and windows in their side walls. The ground-floor windows are large-paned sashes, while the first-floor sashes retain their glazing bars, all set under flat, gauged brick arches. Slightly projecting bays are positioned above each front door. A plain brick eaves cornice completes the exterior.
