Description
Craster House, built in the mid-19th century, is a two-storey house made of yellow brick with a slate roof and two brick chimneys at the rear. The front features three first-floor windows, with bays marked by brick pilasters and recessed panels. The central entrance has a six-panelled door topped by a fanlight with glazing bars, all set within a triple recessed round-headed gauged brick arch. The ground floor has tripartite windows with louvred shutters and wooden pediments, while all windows throughout the house are sashes with glazing bars. The central gable has overhanging eaves above a round gauged brick arch. To the right at the rear, there is a later hipped wing that also features similar pilasters. An attached red brick wall on the left has iron gates adorned with fleur-de-lys heads, flanked by yellow brick gate piers, leading to a stable yard at the back.
