Description
Chester Lodge is a house built in the mid-19th century. It has a rendered exterior with red brick at the rear and a pantiled roof. The building features one red brick chimney at the ridge and a yellow brick end chimney on the right, which is partially rendered. It is two storeys tall, with a basement and an attic. The main facade includes three first-floor windows and a six-panelled door located in a projecting central bay. This door is topped by a fanlight with late 19th-century leaded glazing, all set within a rendered architrave that is flanked by pilasters adorned with laurel wreaths, supporting an open pediment. There are glazed conservatories on both the right and left sides of the house. The first-floor windows are large-paned sashes, and the central bay features an open pediment with a box cornice on the side walls. The main facade is enhanced by a paired modillion cornice, and there is a parapet on the left side. Additionally, there is a single-storey flat-roofed extension on the left.
