Description
No. 82 on Newmarket Road is a house built in the mid-19th century, with some later alterations. It is constructed of yellow brick and features a hipped slate roof and two brick chimneys. The house has two storeys and a symmetrical facade with three first-floor windows. At each end, there are pilasters. The entrance consists of a panelled door set in a slightly projecting bay, topped by a plain fanlight within a rendered surround. The porch is supported by two half-columns and two Doric columns, with round-headed arches on the sides and front. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are adorned with flat gauged brick arches. To the left side of the building, there is a canted single-storey bay window also featuring glazing bars. Access to the entrance front is via a small terrace with six steps.
