Description

Fernley is a mid-19th century house located on the south-east side of Newmarket Road. It is constructed of yellow brick and features a slate roof along with two brick chimneys. The building stands two storeys high and has three first-floor windows. It is characterized by end pilasters that have rendered caps. Access is provided by three steps leading to half-glazed double-leaf doors set in a slightly projecting central bay, which is topped with a pediment. Above the doors is a plain overlight surrounded by a rendered frame and flanked by pilasters. The windows are large-paned sashes with horns and are adorned with flat gauged brick arches.
