Description

No. 87 on Newmarket Road is a house built in the mid-19th century, with some later alterations. It features a painted brick facade and a slate roof, topped with two gable-end brick chimneys. The building has two storeys and three symmetrical first-floor windows, with end pilasters. There are three steps leading up to a panelled door located in a slightly projecting bay, which has a plain overlight above it. The door is framed by panelled reveals and flanked by two fluted Doric half-columns that support a dentilled hood. Additionally, there are two-storey canted bays that contain large-paned sash windows with horns.
