Description

A house, now a school, was likely built in the early 18th century and remodelled in the early 19th century, with later additions. Constructed of red brick with a hipped pantile roof and five brick chimneys, the building is two storeys high with six first-floor windows. Rusticated brick quoins and a central pilaster are prominent features. The six-panelled front door, situated to the right of centre, has an overlight with circular glazing bars within panelled surrounds, flanked by pilasters supporting a dentilled hood on two fluted Doric columns. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set beneath rusticated lintels. A pentangular two-storey bay projection extends from the left side of the building. A later extension to the right incorporates a bow-fronted bay window. The building is finished with a modillion cornice.
