Description
Nos. 268 and 270 on Upper Parliament Street are a pair of houses built in the 1820s. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with three bays. There is a sill band on the first floor and a cornice at the top. The windows have wedge lintels and are sashed without glazing bars. The central entrances are round-headed and flanked by pilasters and archivolts, although the doorcases do not have columns. Each entrance has a six-panel door. Above the entrances, the windows are blind and show remnants of stucco and painted sashes. There are also side entrances with ramped coping that connects to the sill band.
