Description

This memorial, located in the yard of the Church of St. Anne, commemorates W. Linford, who died in 1849, and A. Linford, who died in 1855. Made of stone and designed by A. Murphy, the memorial takes the form of an octagonal pillar set on a plinth. It features a niche with a nodding ogee canopy. At the top, two figures are corbelled out, likely representing the Virgin and St. John. It is probable that there was an iron crucifix at the top of the memorial.
