TRING CHURCH YARD (South side) War Memorial

GV II

War memorial. Circa 1920. Limestone with knapped flint panels in 2 piers at ends of wrought iron railing on S in-line with graveyard wall. A tall carved stone cross standing in the graveyard facing S. Base of 3 octagonal steps with inscribed names, square top step with relief lettering in panels, large inscribed socket block with chamfered corners and top, tall tapering shaft carved with running vine scroll down the angles, octagonal moulded cap and crucifix with octagonal boss terminals to cross. Octagonal moulded caps to square piers to each end of gap formed in graveyard wall.
