Description

No. 1 Swan Lane is a shop building dating from the early 19th century. The exterior is rendered, and the roof is not visible. It stands four storeys high and features four bays. The shopfront, which is from the early 20th century, has fine lettering on the cill. Sash windows are present throughout the building, each with plain surrounds and small flat hoods supported by consoles at the first floor only. The facade is enhanced by central and end pilasters that continue across to No. 29 London Street, topped with a moulded box cornice.
