Description
No. 32 on London Street is a mid-19th century shop that features a rendered exterior and stands three storeys tall with an attic storey. The building has four bays and showcases a fine shopfront with a central door flanked by curved glass. The shopfront is supported by panelled pilasters that have roundels with marbled decoration, leading up to a fascia. The first floor is adorned with semi-circular arched sash windows, which are surrounded by panelled surrounds and divided into a 1:2:1 arrangement by attached fluted Corinthian columns. The second floor features pilasters. There are fascias at the floor levels and a wide fascia cornice with a dentil band. The parapet includes a central casement window. Inside, the staircase from the ground to the first floor is enhanced by fine cast-iron balustrading.
