Description
This is a terrace of six houses located on the south-east side of St Stephen’s Road, dating from the early 19th century. The houses are constructed of yellow brick with a slate roof and have two brick ridge chimneys. They are two storeys high, with a basement, and feature thirteen first-floor windows. The ends of the terrace have pilasters. A three-step approach leads to the doors on the right of each house, although the entrances to numbers 74 and 76 are now blocked with 20th-century windows. Numbers 72 and 78 have access ramps. The windows are 16-pane sash windows, set beneath flat, gauged brick arches. The front doors are six-panelled and each has a cinque-foiled fanlight within a recessed, gauged brick round-headed arch. A rendered cornice sits below the parapet.
