Description

This is an ice house located approximately 125 metres to the north-east of Snettisham Old Hall. It is likely from the 18th century and constructed of carstone with some internal brick dressings. The structure features a tunnel and a chamber, with a barrel vaulted roof that continues as a vault over a squared chamber. Inverted pendentives at the base create a circular plan for the pit. The ice house is in separate ownership from Snettisham Old Hall.
