Description

This is a barn located 100 meters southeast of Playter's Hall, dating from the early 18th century. It features a timber frame with either brick infill or weatherboarding and has an asbestos roof. The barn has a brick plinth and full height doors on the west side. The roof is gabled, and the walls have close studded posts with diagonal bracing. Inside, there are tie beams supported by straight braces with spurs to the wall plate, queen struts to the collars, and braces extending from the collars to the principals. The structure also includes two tiers of staggered butt purlins.
