Description
Talbot's Manor House is an 18th-century brick house featuring plain tiles, pantiles, and slate roofs. The original early 18th-century section on the west is two storeys high, while the eastern addition, which has a catslide roof, has been reduced to one storey. The house has 20th-century windows, with the first-floor window on the east front designed to resemble a dormer. A stack protrudes through the roof on the right side. To the left, there is an early 18th-century two-storey gabled cross wing that now has 20th-century casements and a panelled door to the right. The building features a triple gault brick ridge stack. The late 18th-century facade is two storeys and consists of three bays, with a central panelled door beneath a five-vaned fanlight. Fluted pilasters flank the door, and there is a 20th-century gabled timber porch. There is an early 20th-century bay window with sashes on both sides of the entrance, and three renewed sashes on the first floor. The eaves cornice is decorated with dentils, and the roof is gabled, hipped to the east.
