Description
The Swan Inn is a public house with early 17th century origins, although it has been mainly altered in the early 19th century and further modified in the 20th century. The front is constructed of rendered and colourwashed brick, topped with a plaintile roof. The building is two storeys high and features five bays. The central entrance consists of a panelled door set within a plain timber doorcase. On the first floor, there are three horned sash windows, each with one glazing bar, while the remaining windows are boarded. The roof is gabled, with an internal gable-end stack on the east side and an external stack on the west. The rear of the main elevation shows patches of early 17th century brickwork, alongside various additions from the 19th and 20th centuries.
