Shop. Early C17 incorporating an earlier wall, remodelled late C19 when facade added. 2 storeys; 2-window range. Whitewashed brick under a pantiled (front) and partly plain-tiled (rear) roof. Early C20 plate-glass shop front under a projecting fascia board. 2 recessed 8/8 unhorned sashes to the first floor. Timber eaves cornice and a gabled roof. South return has coursed flint and bricks. Rear wall of early C16 date, belonging to the Carmelite Friary sited here: flint and brick, fitted with a C20 first-floor window and a lean-to staircase passage. Gabled roof with a gabled dormer. INTERIOR: C17 bridging beam in cellar. Blocked steps up to former yard at rear. First floor with false timber framing. Roof with 5 bays of early C17 upper crucks, principals, cambered collars and 2 tiers of butt purlins.
