Description

First World War memorial, erected around 1920.

MATERIALS: grey granite

DESCRIPTION:prominently situated by the churchyard path near to the church entrance. It comprises an about 7ft tall rough-hewn wheel head cross on a plinth with single-stepped base. The plinth bears the inscriptions in incised lettering, reading: THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1919/ IN LOVING MEMORY OF/ (NAMES)/ REST ETERNAL GRANT UNTO THEM O LORD.
