Description

The Limpenhoe War Memorial is a First World War memorial, erected around 1920. It is made of grey granite and is prominently located by the churchyard path near the church entrance. The memorial features a rough-hewn wheel head cross that stands about 7 feet tall on a plinth with a single-stepped base. The plinth is inscribed with incised lettering that reads: THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1919/ IN LOVING MEMORY OF/ (NAMES)/ REST ETERNAL GRANT UNTO THEM O LORD.
