Description
The garden house, built around 1700, is located 60 meters north-east of Southwood Hall. It is constructed of red brick and features a thatched roof. The building has a square plan and two storeys, positioned within the enclosing angle of the garden walls of Southwood Hall. There are doors at both ground and first floor levels on the south-west side. The north-west, north-east, and south-east sides have cross windows with wrought iron casements and square leaded lights. The external angles are accentuated by rusticated brick quoins, and the roof is hipped. The garden walls on the north-west and south-west sides date from the same period as the garden house. The wall attached to the south-east corner of the garden house is not of special interest.
