Description
40 Magdalen Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of flint with gault brick dressings and has a roof made of black-glazed pantiles. The building stands two storeys high and features two bays. A central 20th-century glazed door is set within a doorcase that includes a pair of engaged fluted columns supporting a segmental hood. To the left of the door is a 6/6 horned sash window, and to the right is a pedestrian passageway, both of which are topped with segmental heads. The first floor is lit by two horned 6/6 sash windows. The house has a dentil eaves cornice and a gabled roof with an internal gable-end stack on the east side. The interior has not been inspected.
