Description
The Laurels is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and flint, featuring a pantiled roof that is black glazed at the front. The building has a lobby entrance plan and stands two storeys tall. To the right of the centre, there is a modified Doric doorcase beneath a pediment. On either side of the door, there is a three-light casement window set under skew back arches. The first floor has two flat-headed three-light casements with a central blind window. A timber eaves cornice runs along the roofline, which has a bell-based gabled shape. There is a stack located above the door. An addition to the west creates an asymmetric appearance, featuring two similar windows, one of which has been renewed. The east gable is half-timbered, and there is a lean-to addition at the rear that has a catslide roof, which becomes two storeys high towards the west.
