Description

The Old Rectory is a private house that was originally built as a rectory between 1720 and 1730. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has five bays. The central entrance has a round-headed gauged doorway with a glazed door and a seven-vaned fanlight above. On either side of the entrance, there are two tall sash windows with shutters and glazing bars, all set under gauged heads. A flat brick string course runs along the building, and there are five similar windows on the first floor. The eaves are overhanging, and the roof is hipped, with two symmetrical stacks located on the east and west slopes.
