Description
24 and 26 Magdalen Street are a pair of houses dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of cut flint with gault brick dressings and feature a roof made of black-glazed pantiles. The buildings are two storeys tall, and all openings have segmental heads.
No. 24 has a plank door located at the extreme right, which previously led to a passage at the rear. The original house door to the left is now blocked. There is a single horned 2/2 sash window to the left of the door. No. 26 features a 20th-century panelled and glazed door to the left of an unhorned 6/6 sash window. The first floor of No. 26 has three horned 2/2 sash windows, two of which are associated with No. 24. The eaves cornice is dentilated, and the gabled roof has been altered, now lacking stacks. The interior has not been inspected. These houses are included for their group value.
