Description
The United Reform Church, originally built as a Congregational chapel in 1817, is located on Earls' Street in Thetford. The building is constructed from flint with gault brick dressings and features a gault brick facade. It has a hipped roof covered with black-glazed pantiles and stands two storeys tall with three bays. The central stained-glass window is flanked by recessed six-panelled doors, each topped with round arches and six-vaned fanlights. The first floor has three sash windows with 6/6 glazing bars, and the structure includes gauged skewback arches.
Inside, a west gallery was added in 1843, supported by timber posts and featuring a panelled balcony. This gallery was blocked off in 1968 to create a first-floor meeting room.
