Description
The building is a barn located on the east side of the yard at Northwood Preparatory School, formerly known as the barn on the east side of the farmyard at Moor Farm. It is likely from the 18th century and has been altered around 1980. The structure features a timber frame with a brick base and is weatherboarded with a tiled roof. It consists of seven bays, with a two-storey, two-bay section to the north. There are central gabled midstreys on the east and west sides, and an open lean-to attached to the west. Vertical fixed windows and smaller windows on the north side of the west section were inserted around 1980. Additionally, there is a catslide roof over the lean-to addition to the east on the north bay. Inside, the barn has a queen strut roof with clasped purlins and curved braces.
