Description
The Porter's Lodge at Merchant Taylors' School is a building constructed between 1931 and 1933 by W.G. Newton for the Merchant Taylors' Company. It is made of 2-inch red brick and features a tiled roof. The lodge has three bays and is a single storey. The central entrance is adorned with a scroll ornamented lintel, and there are flanking sash windows set within relieving arches. The eaves are modillioned, and there are extruded end stacks. The roof is steeply pitched. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
