Description
The fountain in the Italian garden at Moor Park, located about 50 meters northeast of the main building, was laid out around 1830 and features early 18th-century design elements. It is made of carved stone and has a circular shape with a central feature. The fountain is supported by intertwined dolphins on a frosted base, which hold up a moulded bowl with their tails. Atop this bowl is a mermaid who balances a smaller bowl on her head. This fountain is included for its group value alongside other garden features such as urns, putti, a sundial, and a garden wall.
