  1. Long range of buildings. On right C16 timber framed building of 2 storeys, 3 windows, with jettied first floor and plastered front. On left C17 section of 2 storeys, 2 windows, brick, with plastered ground floor. Left section first floor windows 2-light casements with glazing bars in near-flush, box frames. Right section first floor 3-light casements in slightly projecting box frames. On ground floor 3 shop fronts of C19 appearance, though they may be later additions. Door at right of centre shop window now altered to window. Entrance at right has curious doorcase of short, fluted columns on high plinths, with quasi-Ionic capitals, cut-work frieze and dentil cornice. It looks as though made from a piece of furniture, such as a dresser.

Nos 36 to 58 (even) form a group.
