  1. Incorporated with No 37 Holywell Hill. Formerly Common Lodging House. C16 long, timber framed building under high pitched, tiled roof. Stout, close studding on overhanging 1st floor with visible beam ends. Plaster filling. 2 storeys, 8 windows. Brick ground floor and brick plinth. The 3 left bays are plastered over on 1st floor and have later sash windows with glazing bars in flush, box frames, and a C19 shop front on ground floor. Close studding visible in right 4 bays of ground floor. Ground floor windows are later sashes with glazing bins except for one wood-mullioned casement at right. 2 Cl9 doors and one double carriage door, all in Gothic style, inserted on ground floor. The 5 bays at right on 1st floor have leaded, 2-light casement windows, one possibly original. Inside, heavy exposed timbers including some chamfered and moulded beams of chestnut; and a stone fireplace with Tudor arch.
