Description

56 Holywell Hill is a building with an early 19th century front that dates back to around 1600. It is two storeys high and has three windows, constructed from red brick and topped with a very high pitched, tiled roof. The sash windows feature gauged, flat brick arches and gothick glazing bars, with the centre window on the first floor being blocked. The doorcase is adorned with an open pediment above an order, flanked by fluted and reeded pilasters. The door itself has a reeded cornice head and a decorative fanlight. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 36 to 58 (even).
