Description
No 43 Pennyfarthing Street is a 16th-century, three-storey building with a timber frame and slate-hung upper part that overhangs on two fronts. The ground floor is stuccoed, and the building features an old tile roof that is hipped at the corner. The upper floors have irregularly spaced windows, including casement and three sash windows, all dating from the 18th century, although some glazing bars are missing. The ground floor has modern shops, and there is an early 19th-century door on the right side, which is a four-panel door with a rectangular fanlight and side pilasters. The front facing Pennyfarthing Street has two windows on the upper floors, including a three-light window on the first floor, while the ground floor is similar to the front on Milford Street.
