Description

No. 44 Tacket Street is a 16th-century timber-framed and plastered building that features 18th-century and modern external elements. It has a simple gabled front facing Tacket Street and stands two storeys tall. The building has a two-window range of double-hung sashes with glazing bars on Foundation Street. The ground floor includes a 20th-century shop front. Inside, there are 16th-century moulded beams and ceiling joists. The roof is tiled and dates from the 20th century, with a modillion eaves cornice.
