Description

No. 14 Orwell Place is a building that likely originated as a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house, with alterations made in the 18th century. The front features a gabled design and a moulded bressumer. It has two storeys and attics, with a two-window range consisting of double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in flush cased frames. The attic is illuminated by a window in the gable. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front. The side facing Fore Street has one window range and the roof is tiled, featuring two gabled dormers on Fore Street. Nos. 8 to 14 (even) are part of a group with Nos. 9 to 13 (odd).
