Description

No. 6 Orwell Place is an 18th century red brick house featuring a parapet. It is set back from the road and has a 20th century shop front added to the ground floor. The upper storey and the original doorway of the house are still intact. The building has two storeys and attics, with a four-window range of double-hung sashes that include glazing bars on the first storey. The original doorway, located behind the shop front, consists of a six-panel door topped with a semi-circular fanlight and framed by a wooden doorcase with fluted pilasters. The roof is tiled.
