Description
No 6 High Street is a 16th-century building that features an early 19th-century front. It stands two storeys tall with two windows visible from the street. The exterior is made of painted brick and has a brick dentil cornice, topped by an old tiled roof. The first-floor windows are sashes with glazing bars, set beneath stuccoed lintels that have key blocks. The ground floor has a modern yet appropriate shop front. At the back, there is a range that runs at right angles, which is one storey high with an attic and also has two windows. This section is rendered and features two gabled dormers that break the eaves of the old tiled roof, which supports a large compound chimney stack made of old bricks.
