Description
The British Legion Hall is a large square house built in the early to mid-19th century. It has three storeys and features three windows. The exterior is finished in stucco with incised lines, a cornice band, and a parapet. The original recessed sash windows, although missing their bars, are set within moulded architraves that have bracketed cills. On the ground floor, there are three projecting modern shops. It is possible that the building conceals an older timber-framed structure, as a high-pitched hipped roof covered with old tiles can be seen above the parapet.
